New Skatepark Opens In Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, NJ â A new skatepark opened Wednesday in Cherry Hill.
The skatepark is located in Cooper River Park, behind the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. The facility is part of Camden County's efforts to revitalize its park system.
Local, county and state officeholders joined the skateboarding community on Wednesday to unveil the new attraction.

"This skatepark is an investment in our kids, a space for families to come together, and a hub for creativity, recreation and connection in Camden County," said State Assembly Majority Leader Louis D. Greenwald, who represents Cherry Hill and the surrounding area in the Assembly. "I am thrilled to see it come to life as another step in enhancing our parks and providing residents with more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors."
In 2022, the county revealed plans to build a skatepark as part of Parks Alive 2025â a $100 million initiative to revitalize Camden County's park system.

The skatepark cost about $900,000. Most of it was county-funded, with $87,000 supported by a state grant.
Cooper River Park, which is county-run, encompasses 346 acres through Cherry Hill, Pennsauken, Collingswood and Haddon Township. Its amenities also include a playground, the Camden County Boathouse, two bike trails, Jack Curtis Stadium and more.
