In December 2025, the Camden County Sheriff's Office and hospital security detained Staub as she tried to leave with more supplies.
She was then fired.

Detectives reviewed surveillance video from November to December 2025 and found her coming to work with an empty bag and leaving with it filled.
Financial records also showed that Staub was selling items to a medical supply business and had been given $427,000 in payments.
According to authorities, Staub was impersonating a medical supply vendor as she sold the devices and supplies to the business based in South Carolina.
After being detained, Staub was taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
