Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing Congratulates 2017 Graduates

Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing recently held its commencement ceremony at Camden County College in Blackwood. Twenty students graduated with a diploma in nursing and an associate of science degree from Camden County College.

Dr. Maria Brennan, Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President Patient Services, Lourdes Health System, and Dr. William Lavell, Interim Dean, Math, Science and Health Careers, Camden County College, presented the diplomas to the graduates. Dr. Shirley Richardson, Dean, Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing, presented the School pins.

The valedictorian was Leandra Skala and the salutatorian was Rachael Enders. The following awards were given:

• Anthony V. Ziccardi, MD Award for Excellence in Clinical Obstetrical Nursing: Denisse Vega
• Anthony Repici, MD Award for Excellence in Clinical Pediatric Nursing: Leandra Skala
• Walter F. Wabby Award for Excellence in Emergency Room Nursing: John Tyrrell
• Sister M. John Francis Coyle, OSF Award for Caring: Michelle Childress
• Jordan Middleton Award for Patient Advocacy: Elizabeth Katawick
• Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing Alumni Award: Evgeniya Spiney
• Sister. M. Elizabeth Corry, OSF Award: Jincheol Lee

• William Forrest Rahl Award for Demonstrating the “6 Pearls of Practice”: Alvin Medina-Torres
• M. Agnes Berger, RN Award for Excellence in Perioperative and Surgical Nursing: Julianne Dura
• Linda B. Napieralski Memorial Award for Demonstrating Extraordinary Dedication to the Profession of Nursing: Ashley Ruch
