Sayreville, NJ Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges
The 37-year old lured a 14-year old "boy" who turned out to be an undercover detective.
A Sayreville, New Jersey man got more than he bargained for when the 14-year old boy he was attempting to lure turned out to be an undercover detective working for the New Jersey State Police.
The perpetrator, Craig M. Dimonda was arrested on Wednesday August 8, 2018 and is facing a charge of second-degree attempted luring of a child. Dimonda, 37, was communicating with the “boy” over text messages for a three month period. These text messages showed his interest in engaging in sexual activity and watching pornography together. Dimonda coordinated a meet-up with his “14-year old” victim at a local convenience store that way he could bring him back to his residence to engage in physical relations.
He is currently being held in the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick pending a hearing. As further details emerge on this child pornography case, we will provide an update.
