Surgeon Joins Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center
Dr. Victor Bondar specializes in oncologic surgery

Surgeon Victor Bondar, MD, recently joined the medical staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. He specializes in oncologic surgery.
Dr. Bondar comes to Lourdes from the Veterans Administration Medical Center at the University of Tennessee (VAMC UT) in Memphis, TN, where he was a faculty member and an assistant professor of surgery. Prior to that, Dr. Bondar was a surgeon at Coffee Regional Medical Center and at Memorial Satilla Health, both in Georgia.
Dr. Bondar completed fellowships in surgical oncology at City of Hope National Cancer Center in California, and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. He performed his surgical residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. Dr. Bondar earned his medical degree from Moscow Medical School, in Moscow, Russia.

Board-certified in surgery, Dr. Bondar is a fellow of the Society of Surgical Oncology. He has been honored with numerous awards. These include the Top Docs Award from Palm Beach Medical Society, the Gold Medical Award from the Southeastern Surgical Congress, and the Achievements in Research Award from St. Francis Medical Center.
Dr. Bondar has particular interest in the treatment of breast cancer; gastroenterological surgery (gastric, biliary, pancreatic and colorectal); skin cancer and soft tissue sarcomas; thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery; and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Bondar has presented at national and international conferences. His research has been published in medical journals such as the American Journal of the Medical Sciences, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, Prostate, and Archives of Surgery. He served as chairman of the “Treatment of severe infections including sepsis” session at the Ehrlich 2nd World Conference in Germany.
Dr. Bondar is a member of multiple medical organizations, including the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the American Society of Breast Disease, the American Association for Clinical Research, and the American Cancer Society.
