Two Cherry Hill students to perform in "The Wizard Of Oz"

Ready to welcome you to Munchkinland, Quinn Wood and Jillian Henderson take the stage at Walnut Street Theatre.

This holiday season, two girls from Cherry Hill will take the stage at Philadelphia’s most popular theatre company. Walnut Street Theatre’s production of the all-time classic musical, The Wizard Of Oz, celebrated its opening earlier this month and continues through January 8th.

Ready to welcome you to Munchkinland, 7th grader Jillian Henderson of Resurrection Catholic School, plays a Munchkin in the production. Henderson performed in last season's production of A Christmas Story at the Walnut. Playing a member of the Lullaby League in Munchkinland is fellow Cherry Hill resident Quinn Wood. Wood, a 4th grader at A. Russell Knight Elementary School and student of the School of Pennnsylvania Ballet, has also performed in the Academy of Music's production of The Nutcracker. The Wizard Of Oz marks her musical theatre debut.

Henderson and Wood, along with their 28 Munchkin cast-mates, are all members of The Theatre School at Walnut Street Theatre.
