Who's Running For Cherry Hill Mayor, Council In 2019?
A total of 12 candidates filed petitions by Monday's deadline to run in November's elections in Cherry Hill.
CHERRY HILL, NJ - A total of 12 candidates filed petitions to run for seats in Cherry Hill’s municipal government by Monday’s deadline to file, according to the township clerk’s office.
Three candidates, including two Democrats, will vie for the mayor’s seat being vacated by Chuck Cahn. Camden County Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo will run for the seat under the Camden County Democratic Committee ticket, while Susan Druckenbrod is running under the Democrats of Camden County banner. Republican Nancy Feller O’Dowd will also run for the seat.
A total of nine candidates will run for three open council seats, including six Democrats.
Council Vice President Sara Lipsett, Councilwoman Melinda Hopkins Kane and Councilman Brian Bauerle are all up for re-election, but only Bauerle opted to run.

Bauerle will be joined by Jennifer Appell and Michelle Golkow on the Camden County Democratic Committee ticket.
Scott Soffen, Chiyoung “JiYoung” Min and Nathaniel DeMarino will run as Democrats of Camden County. It is the second straight election in which the Democrats of Camden County are running a slate in Cherry Hill. In 2017, they won nearly 35 percent of the vote.

Joshua D. Duvall, Steven J. Lever and Mary Ellen Litton are the Republican candidates.
All Democrats will run in the June 4 primary. June 4 is also the final day for third party candidates to file their petitions to run in the November elections. Richard Bowen has already announced his intention to run in the elections as the Libertarian Party candidate.
The general elections are set for Nov. 5.
