138K Burlington County Ballots Returned For 2020 Elections
About 40 percent of the registered voters in Burlington County have returned their ballots as of Friday.

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — About 40 percent of Burlington County voters have successfully returned their ballots to the Board of Elections, according to county election officials.
The Burlington County Board of Elections has already received a little more than 138,000 ballots, officials said Friday morning. There are about 330,000 registered voters in the county.
Out of 314,051 voters countywide in 2016, turnout was 224,614 (71.52 percent), according to the county’s election records. Burlington County Board of Elections Chairman Joe Dugan encouraged voters who have made up their minds to complete and submit their ballots as soon as possible.

“We all know this has been a different kind of election that has required all of us to adjust, but the ballot returns show that the process is working and that Burlington County voters are able to safely and securely cast their ballots,” Dugan said.
Ballots will be prepared for counting soon, but no exact date had yet been set, according to a county spokesperson. Ballot statistics had not yet been broken down by municipality.
Voters who submitted their ballots can also track them via the state Division of Elections online voter information portal, vote.nj.gov, to ensure they were delivered and processed.
“It’s a fairly simple and secure online log-in that can provide voters with the peace of mind to know their ballot has arrived and will be counted,” Dugan said. “I encourage voters who haven’t done so already to register on the portal and check on their ballot’s status.”
A list of drop box locations is available here. Voters can find their polling places here. Registered voters who have not received a ballot should contact the Burlington County Clerk’s Office at 609-265-5229 or email votebymail@co.burlington.nj.us.
