2 Horses Killed In Burlington County Crash: Police

The trailer carrying the horses detached from the towing vehicle and hit a tree, authorities said.

EVESHAM, NJ — A trailer carrying two horses detached from a towing vehicle and hit a tree, killing both animals Sunday morning in Evesham, officials said.

The one-vehicle crash occurred at about 10:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Hopewell Road. A tow-behind trailer containing two horses left the roadway and collided with a tree, police said.

Nobody in the vehicle was injured. Officials temporarily closed a portion of Hopewell Road.
