2 Men Charged In Death Of Willingboro Teen With Autism
Eighteen-year-old Yahsinn Robinson was on his way home from work last April when he was shot multiple times, according to authorities.

MOUNT HOLLY, NJ — Two men have been charged in connection with the April 2021 shooting death of a Willingboro teen with autism, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina.
A grand jury this week indicted Sylas Young, 20, and Kavon Carter, 24, both of Pemberton, on multiple charges in connection with the death of 18-year-old Yahsinn Robinson, who was a senior at Willingboro High School.
Young has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, gang criminality, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Meanwhile, Carter has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, gang criminality, and promoting organized street crime, all first-degree offenses.
Last year on April 22, Willingboro police were called to the first block of Barrington Lane just before 11:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found Robinson's body, authorities said. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation found that Carter and Young were among a group of Pemberton residents involved in what authorities called a "long-running dispute" with specific residents of Buckingham Park in Willingboro. The shooting stemmed from the dispute, authorities said; however, Robinson was not involved in it.
Robinson was coming home from work when he was shot, according to a GoFundMe page created in his memory. It was his first job, he had just started, and he was "so excited to have some independence," according to Kalimah Perry, organizer of the GoFundMe fundraiser.
"Yahsinn loved to play and study chess. He was perfecting his craft in chess by reading books on the game. Yahsinn recently started designing clothes and loved to play his guitar. He was an honor roll student and a fun child that loved his family," Perry wrote. "He never allowed his autism diagnosis to hinder him from exploring his dreams."
An arraignment for Carter and Young will be held soon in New Jersey Superior Court. The case will then be scheduled for trial, authorities said. The defendants currently are being held in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly.
