5 New Potential Traffic Tie-Ups This Week That Burlington County Drivers Need To Know

The potential delays are for several reasons, according to the agencies involved.

SOUTH JERSEY – There are five events starting or taking place the week of April 11 that could cause delays for some Burlington County drivers, according to press releases from various agencies.

Earlier Monday, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation fully closed the ramp to southbound Interstate 95 at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange and it may remain closed through the middle of 2023, the Delaware River Port Authority said in a press release. A detour is posted.

At 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the City of Camden is hosting a parade for some of its high school athletes, the County of Camden announced. The event is followed by a community-wide celebration that is also in the athletes’ honor, the county said. There may be traffic tie-ups in the areas of Woodrow Wilson High School, Camden High School and Wiggins Waterfront Park.

On Wednesday in the City of Camden, PSE&G starts restoring the roadway on North 27th Street and Westfield Avenue, according to a press release. The work is expected to take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and be completed by end of day Monday, April 25. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic, the press release also said.

Also on Wednesday in the City of Camden, construction work starts along Haddon Avenue, closing the shoulders of Haddon Avenue between Walnut Street and Whitman Avenue, Camden County said in a press release. The work is expected to occur from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and be finished by end of day Friday, April 15, the county added.

In addition, on Wednesday in Voorhees Township, White Horse Road between Prestwick Drive and Evesham Road will be completely closed while New Jersey American Water Company installs water service, according to a press release. The work is expected to take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and be completed by end of day Thursday, April 14.
