Battleship NJ Reopens For Outdoor Tours
Battleship New Jersey has reopened for outside tours as of Monday, according to the museum's website.
Battleship New Jersey has reopened for outside tours as of Monday, according to the museum’s website. Tours will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All visitors will be required to pass a health screening, wear masks and practice social distancing to help prevent the further spread of the coronavirus.
The Hit the Deck self-guided tour allows guests to get up close to the massive 16-inch gun turret #1. Guests can also check out the anchor chains, M2 50-caliber machine guns and view the Philadelphia skyline.

Take ladders (stairs) to upper levels and see the 5-inch gun mounts, the 40mm saluting guns, the Phalanx CIWS (pronounced “sea-wiz”), the exterior bridge, the tomahawk missile launch boxers and more.
Guests will proceed back down to the fantail on the main deck where they can check out 16-inch gun turret #3, the Seasprite helicopter, the Bofors 40mm, Oerlikon 20mm guns, the recently-added Captain’s gig and more.
