Betrayed Sydney husband seeks wedding dress revenge with hilarious online Gumtree ad
THE Sydney man who vented frustration at his wife’s affair with his best mate through a hilarious online ad for his ex’s wedding dress has been swamped with support — and date requests — from complete strangers.
The betrayed husband’s friend — but not THAT friend — posted the dress ad in online marketplace Gumtree at 8th June.
It had more than 200,548 visit now.

“Due to be married soon? Not planning on staying faithful? Want to sleep with one of your soon-to-be husband’s closest friends? Then THIS is the wedding dress for you!,” the advert begins.
“This stunning, tuille swathed, ivory bridal gown has a proven track record of producing an adulterous, deceitful, doublecrossing and traitorous “soulmate”.

“soulmate”.

“A one of a kind garment designed by Benedict Arnold, believed to be derived from the very cloth Judas Iscariot himself wore to the Garden of gethsemane to betray the only son of God — Jesus Christ.”
Ouch. You probably think by this stage of the ad the point has been made … but then it continues.
“This harlot-sized ensemble will make you the envy of your trampish posse on your fraudulent wedding day,” the advert continues.
“As an added bonus, this dress gives you the “entitlement” to legally obtain over half of your husband-to-be’s worldly possessions.
“This dress is guaranteed to provide you with approximately two years of reasonable wedded mediocrity before the complete and utter disintegration of your relationship due to your extramarital promiscuity.”
The Sydney man’s friend, who wished to be known only as Dan, said the decision to post the ad was only made yesterday.

Dan said he and his friend had been overwhelmed by the response.
One person responded to the ad, saying: “Mate, you’re a legend. The bloke brotherhood has got your back.”
Another said: “I feel for you buddy. Hope you are doing OK and find someone who treats you right.”
And another: “Love it. Best of luck selling it. Hope she gets every bit of karma she deserves.”
One woman, Sarah, even seemed to be offering the broken-hearted man a date.
“Back on the market, single and cute I’m sure. You’ll do fine, it happens to the best of us. Send me an email if you like,” Sarah said in an email.
The ad has also received some genuine sales inquiries as well.
They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned but then “they” clearly haven’t met this guy.
And good news girls, the price is negotiable.
