Nearly 2 Feet Of Snowfall: School Delays, Post-Blizzard Impacts For Cinnaminson
The worst of the blizzard has passed, but its impacts will linger with hazardous roadways, delayed school openings and more.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Nearly 2 feet of snow fell Sunday and Monday in the Cinnaminson area, and the blizzard's impacts are expected to linger in the coming days.
That includes a 2-hour delay for Cinnaminson schools on Tuesday.

A blizzard warning had been in effect until 6 p.m. Monday, but the National Weather Service (NWS) canceled it in the afternoon. Gusty winds may continue to blow snow into the evening.
The NWS hasn't posted a snowfall total for Cinnaminson as of this writing. But nearby, Mount Laurel registered 20.6 inches and Moorestown received 20 inches.

A statewide travel ban, which went into effect Sunday night, was lifted at noon Monday. But State Police and the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management are encouraging the public to keep avoiding unnecessary travel.
"Hazardous conditions persist in some parts of the state," the agencies said in a joint announcement. "Some roadways remain snow-covered, visibility is limited in some areas, and crews continue working to clear roads and restore safe travel."

Along with the school district's delayed opening, trash collection will be delayed by one day for the entire week, the township says.
There are currently 31 power outages in Cinnaminson, says PSE&G. Outages have been prevalent elsewhere — there are 12,626 in Burlington County and 91,486 in the state as of this writing, according to data from poweroutage.us.
Burlington County Central Communications has fielded more than 1,000 calls from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning, said county spokesperson David Levinsky. Several calls about downed wires and trees in the roadway.
Here's the NWS's latest forecast for Cinnaminson:
- Monday afternoon: A slight chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 35. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
- Monday night: Areas of blowing snow between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
- Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 29. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
- Tuesday night: A chance of snow after 1 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 22. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
- Wednesday: A chance of rain and snow before 10am, then a chance of rain between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 44. Southwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
