Week-Long Outages Estimated For Thousands In NJ After Blizzard

Crews are still battling downed wires and dangerous road risks after Monday's blizzard.

Nearly 36,000 customers are without power after snow pummeled New Jersey and much of the northeast on Monday, and some of them may not regain service until Saturday.

At 10 a.m., JCP&L had 14,622 reported outages spread mostly across the shore regions. Some restorations could take until 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Atlantic City Electric reported 20,913 customers were impacted by the storm, which is 4 percent of all who are served. Estimates list some outages as lasting until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday.

PSE&G reported 90 customers impacted. Power is estimated to be restored between 3 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday in some areas.
