A Little Bit "Country" / A Lotta South Jersey - "Nashville Cats" in Cinnaminson's Wood Park Concert on August 16

A true taste of Nashville in Wood Park: The crowd at Wood Park heard both original tunes by Sherry Lynn and also news of her newest song, cut in Nashville, with the legendary Crystal Gayle.

When Cinnaminson Mayor Don Brauckmann took the stage last night to intro the BIG sound of Sherry Lynn/Country, he told the audience that he booked a country music act because of a community request he got last summer. So, make sure you let Parks and Recreation know what you and your family will come out for, because the town is paying attention!

As for Sherry Lynn and her band, which included three guitars, a fiddle, a backup signer/percussionist and a drummer... they brought the sound of modern Nashville to our corner of South Jersey. (Truth be told, Sherry Lynn sounds twangy when she talks, but she admits she's really a Jersey girl too...from the deep south of the state, though.)

The band performed originals, covered tunes by everyone from Janis Joplin to Brian Adams and broke news that Sherry Lynn just cut a new track with the legendary Crystal Gayle in Nashville itself.

And when you come out, please support the local Girl Scouts who are acting as our "refreshment stand". They're raising money for a wonderful community project. They make THE BEST 50-cent brownies, chocolate chips, and chocolate dipped pretzels.
