Do You Have an Adorable Pet? Or Maybe You're Willing to Add Another Four-legged Family Member?
Do you have an adorable family pet? Please come to PAWFEST in Cherry Hill on Saturday June 9, to celebrate & meet a celebrity pet lover!
Love to party with your four-legged family members? Then please come out this Saturday to PAWFEST in Cherry Hill—a celebration of companion animals—with several special guests!
My wonderful friend, CBS3's Carol Erickson—the #1 pet-friendly personality in Philadelphia broadcasting and a resident of Burlington County—will come to PAWFEST, which is being held this Saturday, June 9, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
The location is a brand-new, pet-friendly senior living community called Spring Hills Cherry Hill, located at 1450 Marlton Pike E. (Rt. 70, just west of I-295) in Cherry Hill. It's the location of the former Sheraton Poste hotel and now it's an elegant senior living center which loves and encourages companion animals for its residents.

Here's what's happening:
- Guests may bring their own animals on leashes for a pet parade. Pet owners who donate dog food will have their pet entered for prizes in the parade and the food donations will support regional shelter animals. Prizes will be given for smallest, largest, cutest and most original presentations.
- Carol Erickson, along with being an award-winning broadcaster at CBS3, is the author of an award-winning children’s book about shelter pet adoption called "Not A Used Dog, At All". Erickson will be on hand from 1 – 2 pm to sell and sign copies of her charming book, which helps support animal welfare charities.
- Guests can admire and purchase Creature Portraits based on shelter animals by award-winning Philadelphia fine artist Colleen Rudolf.
- Lilo's Promise, a rescue organization which provides foster homes for dogs, will seek permanent families for their friendliest animals. Anyone considering companion animal adoption will be able to learn the history of the pets ready for transition to new homes.
- Animal Adoption Center of Lindenwold will also showcase pets looking for "forever homes".
- Dr. David Kupersmith, a veterinarian from Cherry Hill's Animal and Bird Health Center, will be available to talk about pet health questions.
- Cutter's Mill Pet Store of Cherry Hill will provide animal treats and Spring Hills Cherry Hill will offer refreshments for human guests.
“Spring Hills Senior Communities recognize that our ‘four-legged residents’ bring joy and companionship to both their individual owners and to everyone else who encounters them in the course of a day,” said Heather Tussing, executive director. “PAWFest is an opportunity for our residents and the neighboring community to learn about the rescue and shelter pets awaiting good homes and to gather open hearted pet lovers together for summer fun too. We look forward to making every guest feel welcome here.”
