For Cinnaminson's Annual Tree Lighting, Santa Held Back the Rain, Dear

December 7, 2012: Carolers, elves, strutting horses, train rides, Mummers, hot cocoa and cookies, a sparkling evergreen blazing in the December night and, of course, the man of the moment, SANTA! Add in hundreds of local families and their eager children and it's easy to understand why Cinnaminson Township's annual tree lighting party at Wood Park is one of the most popular events of the year in the community.

Even though the whole day leading up to the annual festivites was gloomy, misty and frequently out-and-out rainy, when it came time to light up the new evergreen tree near the Wood Park gazebo, the weather fully cooperated. It was a comfortable 45-degrees and no rain, dear!
