Is Your Child Being Bullied?

Bullying is every parent's fear, and it is a legitimate one. No parent can be sure about what is going on with their children at school socially, whether it be in the playground or in the hallways.

Parents take long strides to pick the right school for their children, yet they sometimes forget to make sure their child's school is living up its obligations after a few years of attending. In fact, 86 percent of school bullying is unreported or left without adult intervention, and two out of three parents believe their school does not take bullying seriously. 

While some call it a "right of passage," teasing and hitting in schools is never beneficial for a child. In a new report on CNN, they discovered kids who are overweight or have any type of noticeable allergy are far more likely to get bullied than their peers. Nevertheless, bullying in school is just the tip of the iceberg. Nowadays, kids have hundreds of channels to be bullied or exploited on the Internet; whether it be Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media outlet.

Parents can never fully protect their child from bullying. Thus, it is best to prepare them with the tools necessary to react responsibly in a situation where they are getting bullied at school or on the Internet.

The Action Karate team, with over 20 years of impactful experience, is offering all public and private schools a free workshop that will give the children of Cinnaminson the ability to handle bullying, or prevent being bullied.
