Tax Preparer Workshops to be Held Throughout New Jersey
TAX PREPARER WORKSHOPS TO BE HELD THROUGHOUT NEW JERSEY
New Jersey commercial tax preparers are invited to the Practitioner Institutes sponsored by the New Jersey Association of Public Accountants (NJAPA), Internal Revenue Service, the New Jersey Division of Taxation, and cooperating colleges/universities.
The one-day institutes will be held during October and November at seven locations throughout the state and are geared toward the intermediate and advanced tax preparers with no pre-requisite required.

The topics to be presented by Internal Revenue Service are:
• New Legislation & Overview of 2012 Income Tax Law Changes

• New Correspondence for Taxpayers
The topics to be presented by State of New Jersey Division of Taxation are:
• NJ Income Tax Update
• Information from New Jersey Criminal Investigations
• Information from Taxpayer Correspondence/Audit
Each session begins promptly at 8:30 am, with lunch, and concludes at 4:30 pm. Eight (8) CPE credits will be issued in Taxation and 6 CE for EA’s and RTRP’s, to those who complete the session. The pre-registration fee for commercial tax preparers is $130 ($35 for full time students with ID). Those who register at the door will be required to pay a $145 fee.
