Burlington County Man Found Guilty Of Murdering Baby's Mother: Prosecutor
Rashon Causey was convicted of murder in the death of 37-year-old Shanai Marshall.

A Burlington County man has been found guilty of fatally stabbing the mother of his child, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina announced.
Rashon A. Causey, 39, of Burlington City, was convicted by a jury of murder, burglary and weapons charges in the death of 37-year-old Shanai Marshall, of Mount Holly. The jury deliberated for two days before returning the verdict.
“We are grateful that the jury paid close attention throughout the trial and reached the only conclusion the compelling evidence suggested – that this defendant brutally murdered Shanai Marshall,” Coffina said. “This crime represents the ultimate act of domestic violence. With October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I would like to remind anyone who is struggling in an abusive relationship that you are not alone – there is help available in Burlington County. I would also like to congratulate Assistant Prosecutor Courtney O’Brien and our trial team for getting justice for Shanai and her family. Our thoughts are with all of them today, and we hope this guilty verdict brings them some measure of comfort.”
