Burlington County Woman Accused Of Killing Wife Detained Until Trial

The prosecution and the defense argued in favor of her detention, according to nj.com.

A Burlington County woman accused of fatally shooting her wife in their home on Sunday will be held until trial following a pretrial detention hearing that was held on Thursday.

Both the prosecution and the defense agreed it was best for 28-year-old Laura Bluestein, of Mount Holly, to remain imprisoned at this time, nj.com reports. The judge, who waived her initial appearance, accepted the request and returned Bluestein to jail.

Bluestein is charged with murder in the first degree, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and fourth-degree tampering with evidence in the death of 29-year-old Felicia Dormans.

Police responded to the couple’s Mount Holly home on Sunday, and found that Dormans had been shot in the face. She was pronounced dead on the scene, and Bluestein was arrested without incident.

According to Christina Dormans, Felicia’s mother, the two were involved in an argument earlier that day, and Dormans was considering leaving Bluestein.
