Burlington County Woman Set To Leave Wife Before Fatal Shooting: Report

Felicia Dormans told her mom she was going to leave her wife hours before she was shot, according to nj.com.

A Burlington County woman who was shot and killed by her wife on Sunday had been contemplating leaving her partner prior to the shooting, according to the victim’s mother.

Christina Dormans told nj.com that her daughter, Felicia, had called her earlier in the day to say the two had gotten into a fight over food that had been left out on the counter and attracted ants. After Felicia said she wanted to leave her wife, Laura Bluestein, Christina told her daughter to stay in a hotel that night and come to their home in Danielsville, Pa., the following day. Ultimately, Felicia told her mother she was going to stay and try to work it out, according to the report. It was the last time Christina Dormans ever spoke to her daughter.

Later that night, police say Bluestein shot Felicia Dormans in the face. They responded to the couple’s Mount Holly home, where Felicia Dormans was pronounced dead at the scene. Bluestein was arrested without incident and charged with murder in the first degree, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and fourth-degree tampering with evidence.
