Candidates For Burlington County Offices To Answer Public's Questions During Forum

Candidates for freeholder, sheriff and surrogate will participate in the forum.

The Burlington County League of Women Voters will host a forum for all candidates seeking county public office on Thursday, Nov. 3, 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Westampton Middle School, 700 Rancocas Road in Westampton.

Candidates for freeholder, sheriff and surrogate will be included, and all county residents are invited to attend, the League of Women Voters said in an email Tuesday morning.

The candidates will be seated at a table, with freeholder candidates appearing first, followed by candidates for sheriff and candidates for surrogate.

Each candidate will deliver an opening statement of up to two minutes, and then will take questions from the audience. Each candidate will be given 75 seconds to respond to a question, with additional time for rebuttal, if needed.

Each candidate will finish with a closing statement of up to one minute.

A representative from the League of Women Voters in another county will moderate.

Each race includes two candidates this year.

Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield, a Republican, is running for re-election against Democrat James Kostoplis.

Republican Mary Ann O’Brien takes on Democrat Sander Friedman for the office of Burlington County Surrogate.

Freeholder Latham Tiver, a Republican, is being challenged by Democrat Reva Foster.
