Cinnaminson Budget Expected To Be Introduced In April
Cinnaminson Township Committee unanimously approved the annual proposal to exceed appropriation limits and establish a cap bank on Monday.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Cinnaminson Township Committee gave final approval to a proposed ordinance to exceed the municipal budget appropriation limits and establish a cap bank Monday night.
Township Committee approved the annual measure by a 5-0 vote during its meeting that was held virtually.
The proposal is the first step in the annual budget process. A proposed budget for the upcoming year has not yet been introduced, but Committeeman Ryan Horner said he expects it will be introduced during the committee's second meeting in April.

“I am extremely excited, and I think the residents will be happy with the budget that we will be proposing,” Horner said.

With the approval of Monday night’s proposal, Township Committee is allowing the township to increase its budget by 3.5 percent over last year's final appropriations and bank the excess as an appropriation.
The additional proposed increase amounts to 2.5 percent, or $328,287.78, according to information provided by Township Manager Eric Schubiger.
"This protects the township in the event of an extraordinary emergency," Schubiger said previously. "The unused funds will go into a cap bank that can be used in one of the next two years."
In all, the 3.5 percent increase amounts to $459,602.89.
