Cinnaminson Closes Parks, Playgrounds Due To Coronavirus

No cases have been confirmed in Cinnaminson yet, but officials announced the closures to prevent the spread of new coronavirus.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — All municipal parks and playgrounds in Cinnaminson have been closed until further notice to help prevent the spread of new coronavirus, township officials announced Thursday morning.

“Based upon guidance provided by the Township’s risk management provider, and in consultation with the Township’s Emergency Management Committee, all municipal parks and playgrounds are closed, effectively immediately, until further notice,” township officials said in a statement.

The announcement comes one day after six more positive cases of new coronavirus were reported in Burlington County, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 11. The municipal building, the police department and the public works department have already been closed to the public, but employees will continue to provide customer service by email and phone at 856-829-6000. The New Jersey Department of Health has partnered with the New Jersey Poison Information and Education System to open and operate a call center (1-800-222-1222) for public use regarding questions, concerns, and other information related to coronavirus spread in New Jersey.
