Cinnaminson To Get $7K For Firefighters, First Responders
New Jersey will get $3,258,596.49 from the Department of Homeland Security, including $625,962 in CARES Act funding.
CINNAMINSON, NJ — Cinnaminson will receive a $7,261.90 Assistance Firefighter Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to support firefighters and other first responders across New Jersey, U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker announced.
It was part of $3,258,596.49 in grants earmarked for New Jersey firefighters and first responders. The senators secured $625,962 of this money as part of the CARES Act that was enacted earlier this year.
“New Jersey’s first responders play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of our residents, and they need our support,” Menendez said. “This funding will ensure firefighters and other first responders have the personal protective equipment and other tools they need to protect themselves while they continue to risk their lives to keep their communities safe during the pandemic.
