Cinnaminson High School Girls Soccer Team To Play Haddonfield For South Jersey Championship

The teams will meet for the South Jersey Group 2 title on Friday.

Cinnaminson, NJ -- The Cinnaminson High School girls soccer team is one win away from a South Jersey title.

The top-seeded Pirates defeated No. 5 Middle Township, 2-0, in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 semifinals on Tuesday, according to nj.com.

Cinnaminson will face No. 2 Haddonfield in the championship game on Friday. Haddonfield defeated No. 3 Deptford, 3-2 on Tuesday.

Hailey Gutowski and Kelly Kane had the goals for Cinnaminson, while Justyne Gutowski and Grace Kenville provided the assists.

Goalie Maggie Ogden made three saves to preserve the shutout, Cinnaminson’s third of the playoffs.
Cinnaminson defeated No. 16 Lower Cape May, 6-0, in the first round.

In the quarterfinals, the Pirates defeated No. 9 Oakcrest, 4-0.

Cinnaminson won its last two regular season games by shutout, and has a total of 16 shutouts this season, including a 0-0 tie to open the season.

To win a championship, Cinnaminson will have to erase the memory of its 1-0 loss to Haddonfield in the quarterfinals of the South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association tournament on Oct. 24.

Cinnaminson enters the game with a 9-2-1 record. Haddonfield is 23-1, with its only loss coming to Lenape, 2-0, in the semifinals of the Coaches tournament.
