Cinnaminson Resident to be Sworn in as Head of APALA-NJ
Eric G. Fikry will be sworn in as President of Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey June 30.

A Cinnaminson resident has been named President-Elect of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey (“APALA-NJ”).
Eric G. Fikry will be sworn in at the APALA-NJ annual Installation Gala on June 30, according to Blank Rome, the event’s sponsor.
Fikry was previously the association’s Vice President in 2010-11, and was most recently a member of the APALA-NJ’s Board of Directors.

Last year, the APALA-NJ awarded Fikry the Professional Achievement Award, which is presented to Asian Pacific American lawyers for their professional accomplishments and contributions to the law firm or company where they work, as well as in recognition of service to the New Jersey Asian Pacific American legal community.
Fikry is a partner in the commercial litigation practice group at Blank Rome. He represents clients in business disputes and employment litigation matters. He’s also represented companies in the casino gaming industry, including several that have been issued transactional waivers in New Jersey, allowing them to be the first to offer legal, online casino gaming within the United States.

e was also recently appointed to serve as the chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Gaming Law Committee, and is the first vice president of the Camden County Bar Association, according to Blank Rome.
