CINNAMINSON, NJ — With nearly half of the seats up for grabs, seven candidates filed to run for the Cinnaminson Board of Education.

Monday marked the state deadline for school board candidates to file petitions to get on the Nov. 5 ballot. Four incumbents and three challengers are running for four available Cinnaminson school board positions.

Board Members Laura Fitzwater, Daniel Evans, III and Donna Marie Iacone are each running to serve another term, which lasts three years. Two challengers — Jennifer Falconiero and Edyta Poplawski — have also entered the race, running on a joint ticket with Iacone.

Fitzwater is currently board president.

The board also has two candidates running for a one-year, unexpired term. In March, the school board appointed Toni Topps to fill a vacancy on the governing body. Topps replaced Christine Turner, whose term was set to expire at the end of 2025.
