Cinnaminson School Reopening Plan Likely To Be Revealed In August
The Cinnaminson Public School District has set up a task force to explore options for reopening in the fall.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The Cinnaminson Public School District is evaluating ways in which it can reopen in the fall, but a plan may not be available to the public until August, according to officials.
“We are still meeting with our re-opening task force regularly,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stephen Cappello told Patch Tuesday morning. “I do not anticipate having a plan ready for public consumption until the beginning of August.”
Earlier this month, Gov. Phil Murphy issued a list of rules and guidelines for reopening schools this fall amid the coronavirus outbreak. Boards of education were given flexibility that "recognizes and respects" the differences between districts, he said.

This includes the option to rearrange schedules and implement a hybrid of in-person and remote learning. He also cautioned districts should be ready in case they need to move back to an entirely remote learning environment. Read more here: Gov. Murphy Issues NJ School Reopening Rules Amid Coronavirus

Some districts are considering a hybrid proposal, in which students are split into two groups. One group attends in-person classes two days a week, and the other group attends two other days. On the two days a group is not in school and the other is, they engage in remote learning with limited teacher supervision. On the fifth day, all students engage in remote learning.
Other districts are considering bringing all students back together, while others are still considering options for remote learning. All plans are dependent on how the coronavirus pandemic evolves.

On Monday, a strict set of possible ground rules for getting kids back to school in the fall that was submitted to Gov. Phil Murphy became public. Dawn Hiltner, a spokeswoman for the New Jersey Education Association, confirmed the contents of a document that was circulating on Twitter on Monday, with teachers calling for requiring students to wear face coverings "door-to-door" and districts to conduct weekly testing of students.
