Cinnaminson Senior Trip In Question After Disney World Shuts Down

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The Cinnaminson High School Senior Class Trip is in question after Walt Disney World announced it would be closed through the end of March based on new coronavirus concerns.

“The school is in active conversations with our travel agent to discuss all possible options,” the district announced on its website Friday morning. “We will provide more information as the situation develops.”

On Wednesday, the popular resort announced it will temporarily shut down after seven paramedics and firefighters who respond to emergency calls are under self-quarantine.

The trip is currently scheduled for March 24-29.

The district also announced that the basketball fundraiser game between the Harlem Wizards and the teachers, school administration and community leaders at Cinnaminson High School that had been scheduled for March 18 has been postponed.

The New Jersey Department of Health has partnered with the New Jersey Poison Information and Education System to open and operate a call center (1-800-222-1222) for public use regarding questions, concerns, and other information related to coronavirus spread in New Jersey.
