Cinnaminson's Cinema Under The Stars Postponed

CINNAMINSON, NJ — This week's Cinema Under The Stars movie night at Wood Park has been postponed due to the possibility of inclement weather, Cinnaminson police said Friday afternoon.

The screening of "The Goonies," originally scheduled for Saturday night, July 22, will now take place on Saturday night, July 29. The National Weather Service out of Mount Holly is calling for possible thunderstorms on Saturday. Here's the full forecast for the weekend:

Saturday
A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Light and variable wind becoming southwest around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night
Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 8pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. Light west wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8am, then a chance of showers between 8am and 2pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday Night
A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 76. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Proceeds from next week's movie night will benefit Cinnaminson Relay For Life. Anyone who shows up to view "Goonies" dressed as their favorite Pirate or Goonie may win a prize.

In the movie, two brothers find a treasure map and set out to find the treasure of One Eyed Willy in an effort to save their home. They, along with their friends, are all out looking for the "X" and trying to get away from a group of bad guys who also want the treasure.
