“City Of Willingboro Scapegoats the Fire Department”

Not too long ago, the city of Camden mismanaged $250,000 of grant money that was earmarked

for a revitalization project to refurbish and safeguard a home that was tied to Dr. Martin Luther King. The city could not explain what happened to that money. They only said that it was spent on
other projects. Officials blamed the fire department, saying it was the recipient of the money. It took a court case brought against Camden to uncover exactly what happened to that hefty grant.

As the court scolded the city of Camden, it was clear the money was squandered like most everything else in Camden.

Fast forward to today to the neighboring city of Willingboro, NJ. Two weeks ago was Willingboro
Township’s second annual ‘Juneteenth’ celebration at Millcreek Park. From the beginning of the festival it was pretty clear -- this event was about the city government and Mayor Mcintosh inflated ego.

When the question was asked why city employees and code enforcement workers with more

than twenty trucks get a free pass to park all over the grass even though these areas are surrounded by signs that say “No Parking On the Grass.”

A city worker can be heard on body cam footage stating that it's the city that owns the park,
which makes it city property, and the city Fire Department of Willingboro gave permits to all the city vehicles to park on the grass . It wasn't long after a fire department statement rebuffed any notion of permits or knowing anything about the city's takeover of parking all over the grass.

I would tend to believe them, but seeing code enforcement officer Kevin wearing the Fire Department logo while working or carrying out his job description.

Being allowed to wear fire department shirts in any form with city I. D. is rude and should not be allowed or tolerated at any level.

Looking for extra credibility, joining the fire department is one thing -- but fooling residents into
thinking you're a good guy wearing that shirt is another. Using that shirt to gain trust of people as you cite them with a violation is just creepy. Were there civilian cars also parked on the grass? The answer is yes.

At the forefront is the issue of the city and code enforcement making rules up as they go along.
On the one hand there is no movement when it comes to residents receiving violations from code
enforcement. It didn't take us long to uncover questionable actions of the Inspections Department of Willingboro.

Several people have come forward with direct knowledge and some heavy-duty claims of
corruption. These claims include: Code enforcement doctoring violations , being pressured to give
violations to people that otherwise wouldn't receive one, and cancelling violations . Harassing residents, and at the highest of levels of Code Enforcement they deliberately hold up
approvals for residents of the Township.

In Willingboro, the whole city government shares offices together under one roof, and in one
building, so it's easy to understand how a Willingboro Township became an out-of-control corruption machine.

There must be some kind of city accountability ...........

The Mayor has lost control of the city and it might be time for her to go .
