Collingswood Cake Boss Serves Up Special Treat for Cinnaminson Students
Al DiBartolo Jr. served cake to New Albany School students as part of Week of Respect in Cinnaminson.

Students at the New Albany School in Cinnaminson were in for a treat after a week of battling bullying.
Al DiBartolo, Jr., owner of DiBartolo’s Bakery in Collingswood, and Manng Agigian, who were both finalists on Season 4 of Cake Boss: The Next Great Baker, presented a cake with an anti-bullying message and spoke to students about the importance of standing up for themselves and others at the school on Friday.
At the conclusion of the Respect Rally, in which second grade students performed a student-created chant, cheer orsong for the rest of the school with the message of Respect and anti-bullying, each student was served a piece of cake.

DiBartolo and Agigian visited the students as part of the Cinnaminson School District’s Week of Respect, a week in which school districts and charter schools hold activities to raise awareness about bullying,

An anti-bullying assembly performed by Action Karate of Cinnaminson.
Through their affiliation with Martial Artists Against Bullying, they put together an interactive presentation that relays the messages of respecting others and what students can do to stop bullying.
There were also themed days each day of the week. This year’s themes were:
Monday, Oct. 6: Follow the Golden Rule - Wear yellow or gold
Tuesday, Oct. 7: United We Stand Against Bullying – Wear Red, White, and Blue
Wednesday, Oct. 8: Team Up Against Bullying - Wear your favorite sports team jersey or shirt
Thursday, Oct. 9: Hats Off to Respect - Wear your favorite hat
Friday, Oct. 10: New Albany School is Proud to be Bully Free! - Wear New Albany School shirt or Cinnaminson colors
Week of Respect is mandated under the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act. School districts recognize the week beginning with the first Monday of October.
School districts and charter schools (but not approved private schools for students with disabilities), in order to recognize the importance of character education, are required to observe the week by providing age-appropriate instruction focusing on preventing harassment, intimation or bullying (HIB).
