DID YOU KNOW MANY COMMON GARDEN MULCHES CONTAIN THEOBROMINE, WHICH MAY CAUSE DEATH???
Hello, Patch Pet Lovers!
Perhaps common sense told you mulch could make your pet sick… but you weren't exactly sure WHY? Aside from being a choking hazard, causing GI upset, cuts to the mouth, gums, throat, etc., and internal tearing, just to name a few reasons… one huge concern is mulch contains theobromine, which is a stimulant, (also found in chocolate) and can cause serious complications, even fatalities!
The worst is cocoa mulch, actually being the worst garden hazard to pets!!!
