Hello, Patch Pet Lovers!

Cops for Canine Compassion posted the following information about an incredible organization, Vested Interest in K-9s, Inc., helping provide bullet- and stab-proof vests for K-9 units of law enforcement agencies in need, at no charge. 

Their web site reads, "Protecting K-9s is Our Priority"   

The mission of nonprofit Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is to spread awareness about and raise much-needed funds to provide bullet and stab protective vests to law enforcement K9s throughout the United States. The 501c (3) Massachusetts based organization offers ballistic K9 vests at no cost to the law enforcement agencies through an application process.

Criteria for applying: K9 must be actively employed in the United States, certified and at least 19 months of age.  THIS FORM MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OR RELATED AGENCY.

Vest awards are given on a first come first served basis as funds become available. The application does not guarantee a K9 vest will be awarded.
