Schubiger will assume the position previously held by Michael "Mickey" King following his appointment Monday night.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Cinnaminson’s new township administrator has experience serving in some type of township leadership role for the last six years. Eric Schubiger was named the township’s new administrator Monday night. He will assume the position previously held by Michael “Mickey” King.

He is also an adjunct professor at Rowan College at Burlington County and Ocean County College, and the recreation consultant for the Borough of Roosevelt. He previously served as Recreation Director in East Windsor, Toms River, Jackson, Warren and Bogota.

He holds a graduate certificate in leadership and management from the University of Notre Dame; a master of science in public administration from the University of North Carolina; and a bachelor of arts in politics from the Catholic University of America.

He assumes the role after the township reached a $156,000 settlement with King over a whistleblower lawsuit King filed earlier this year. King became Public Safety Director in 2011, and was named Township Administrator two years later. Although both positions were supposed to be temporary, he held them both until he left the township in May. Julie Edmondson had been serving as Acting Administrator.

The public safety position has been eliminated, according to a prior Burlington County Times story.
