Dublin native John Byrne and his band are back to heat up an autumn evening for our Circle of Friends audience. John has been touring the Southern States, expanding the fan base and delighting audiences with his storytelling, humor and songs. With influences ranging from The Chieftains to Planxty to Bob Dylan, John’s songwriting honors and expands upon the musical and lyrical traditions of his native and adopted homes. With Maura on fiddle and cello, and Rob on banjo, John and the band have sold out World Cafe Live on 4 separate occasions in the past year, in Feb 2011 bringing 500 fans to the Philadelphia venue.
