Fatal Wrong-Way Crash On New Jersey Turnpike In South Jersey: Cops

One person was killed and two others were injured.

One person was killed in a wrong-way crash on the New Jersey Turnpike late Saturday, police said.

The crashed happened around 11:30 p.m. when 21-year-old Michael Jones of Port Richey, Fla. was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes in his SUV.

He crashed head-on into another vehicle in the Mount Laurel area, police said.

Two Jersey City residents, one 32 years old and the other 42 years old, were hospitalized for no-life-threatening injuries, police said. They were not identified as of press time.
