No, not in an adult sense of the word, but that’s what I affectionately call “matchy, matchy” dressing. I just pull out my Garanimal’s and I’m ready to go!!!
The newest trends now refer to this style as “MONOCHROMATIC”. Everything eventually comes full circle but in my world monochromatic dressing never went away! The last couple of years the rage has been mixing prints. Truth be told, I could never embrace that trend…but, I give props to those who could!!!
The best way to pull off this season’s fashion trend is putting 3 pieces together in the SAME tonal hue. There are limitations to consider however! For instance head-to-toe pastels may produce an Easter egg effect while neon colors may cause severe 80’s flashbacks!!! Saturated bright colors, deep rich tones like Oxblood (aka Burgundy), very hot this season, and the ever faithful black are great options. Wearing a contrasting shoe color, a statement necklace or a colorful patterned scarf will complete the look. Whether you wear a bright or dark head to toe color, both will enhance the always sought after slimming affect.

A couple of years ago I invested (wisely I might add) in colored skinny jeans with matching tops in solids and prints. I was way ahead of the trend! Dressing Mono-chromatically has become a great time saver and I love having some go to outfits. I know these outfits fit well (why buy them if they don’t), look stylish and are event friendly in most occasions.
So either re-shop your closet or add some new “Garanimals”, I don’t think you will be sorry and I know you will be wearing them for years to come!!! I know I will.
