Inspira Waiving Co-Pays For Furloughed Government Workers

Federal employees who are not receiving paychecks because of the government shutdown can get needed health care across the Inspira network.

Inspira Health is waiving out-of-pocket costs for furloughed federal workers and their family members as the longest federal government shutdown in American history drags on, the health care system announced.

The waiver is in effect for emergency rooms and urgent care centers across Inspira’s network effective Thursday, Jan. 24. Patients will be asked to show government ID upon arrival.

Hospital-based physicians providing emergency, radiology, pathology and anesthesia services are also waiving out-of-pocket costs for these visits. The health care system is also waiving monthly membership Fitness Connection fees for furloughed federal workers during the shutdown.
