Autopsy Results in South Jersey Nursing Home Murder-Suicide Released

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office announced the findings Monday afternoon.

Autopsy results from a shooting at Genesis HealthCare Center on Evesham Road in Voorhees on Sunday confirm the incident was a murder-suicide, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Voorhees Police Chief Louis Bordi said Monday morning.

George Buller III, 62, of Lumberton, allegedly shot and killed his 85-year-old mother, Andree Buller, after the two ate dinner together at the center, which serves those with mild, moderate and severe Alzheimer’s and dementia.

He then turned the gun on himself and took his own life, according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Voorhees Police Chief Louis Bordi.

They were pronounced dead by telemetry at 6:08 p.m.

No other injuries were reported.

The medical examiner ruled the manner of George Buller’s death to be suicide and the cause of death was determined to be from a gunshot wound. Andree Buller’s manner of death was ruled a homicide and the cause of death was determined to be from gunshot wounds.
