Large Fight In Town Near Burlington County Line Results In Shots Fired

Two men were shot during the incident, according to authorities.

PENNSAUKEN, NJ — Two men were charged in connection with a shooting that occurred during a large fight in Pennsauken, authorities said.

Police responded to a report of a large fight and shootings in the 4400 block of the Marlton Pike right before midnight on June 30, according to authorities.

Two men were hurt by gunfire, authorities said, and one of those men was still hospitalized as of Thursday, authorities said.

Two other men were charged in connection with the incident, according to authorities.

The first man, 34-year-old Tyron Cooper of Willingboro, was charged with two counts of second-degree aggravated assault and one count each of second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, first-degree unlawful possession of weapons and second-degree certain persons not to possess weapons, authorities said.

The second man, 29-year-old Marcus Johnson whose place of residence was not given, was charged with second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, second-degree unlawful possession of weapons and second-degree certain persons not to possess weapons, according to authorities.

Cooper and Johnson were in the Camden County Correctional Facility as of Thursday, authorities said.
