CINNAMINSON, NJ — The new coronavirus outbreak in New Jersey and across the nation is having vast impacts in Cinnaminson, including the closure of schools and many businesses.

As of Thursday evening, there were 101 cases of coronavirus in the township, with eight fatalities. There were 4,055 cases in Burlington County, with 251 fatalities.

As of Wednesday, there were 68 cases and 12 fatalities among residents at Wynwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, according to numbers provided by the state. There were 11 among staff members, but no fatalities.

FINANCIAL RELIEF

On Monday, Cinnaminson Township Committee unanimously approved a $15,867,247 budget with no tax increase. The owner of the average Cinnaminson home valued at $234,000 will continue to pay $1,442.00 annually, the same as last year.

TESTING

Two Walmart stores in Burlington County, in Mount Laurel and Burlington Township, will offer drive-thru self-swab testing for the coronavirus beginning Friday.

BUSINESS

HEALTHCARE WORKERS HONORED

New signs that read “Heroes Work Here” have been set up outside all five Virtua hospitals. The signs honor healthcare workers who continue to help all patients even as they combat the coronavirus pandemic.

FARMERS MARKET SEASON

The Burlington County Farmers Market returns to nearby Moorestown with restrictions on Saturday. The farmers market will be open at the Burlington County Agricultural Center, 500 Centerton Road in Moorestown, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. It will be open every Saturday through October.
