Man With Child Threatened Employee During Store Robbery: Cops

Police say the man threatened an employee during a robbery at a Kohl's in Evesham. He later called the store and threatened him again.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who threatened an employee in front of a child while robbing a South Jersey department store.

The man, described as a white man in his mid 20s, walked into the Kohl’s store on Route 70 West in Evesham Township with a girl who was about 6 or 7 years old at about 4:40 p.m. on July 13.

While he was there, police say the man attempted to steal some merchandise. When a loss prevention specialist confronted him, the suspect threatened to kill him in the presence of the little girl, according to Evesham Township police.

The suspect fled the store, but police say he wasn’t done yet. A short time later, the man called the store and asked to speak with the loss prevention specialist. During this phone call, he once again threatened the employee.
