Mother, Son From Burlington County Displaced In Fire Request Help
Rose Pitt says she and her son lost everything in a fire that ripped through their apartment last Thursday.
RIVERTON, NJ — A mother and son displaced by a fire that heavily damaged their Riverton apartment early Thursday morning asked for the public's help in finding a new place to live.
Roslyn Pitt, who is 66 and retired, told Patch that she and her son 36-year-old son Peter lost just about all they had in a fire at 531 Main St., which heavily damaged their apartment. They need to replace many household items, she said.
But her top priority is finding a new place to call home, she added.

"I'm just trying to find another place to get a roof over my head," she said.
The Saint Vince DePaul Society provided the pair with temporary housing at a local hotel, but that ends on Friday, she said. Members of her family who live in the area do not have enough room for her and her son who works at the Cinnaminson Lidl.
