“This is the event that kick-starts things. We’re going into it with an open mind, and the ability to adapt to student schedules. Our social media (@rcbcosl) is key in that. We have some great events lined up for fall, and it’s a constantly evolving schedule,” Costa said.

Moss, a member of the National Student Leadership Society (NSLS) and the Human Services Club, will speak about how the club is tempering its desire to complete community service projects during a pandemic. During the club’s virtual meetings, it engages members by playing games and doing icebreaker activities.

“We always welcome new members, regardless of major. We encourage people to bring their ideas because no idea is a bad idea. We still want people to participate, get to know each other and get involved,” Moss said.

Binik, a Criminal Justice major and the Student Government Association’s Vice President of Community Service, is working on creating a Discord server in order to keep students connected and informed.

McCarron, the Film Club President, hosts biweekly film nights and discussions about film theory, film characteristics and the importance of politics in film. A paralegal major, she’s also been involved in the Environmental Club, Marketing Club, RCBC Radio and serves as an SGA senator.
