McGill, Horner Win Cinnaminson Republican Primary

Ernest McGill and Ryan Horner defeated Mayor Anthony Minniti and June Neuman in Tuesday night's primary, according to unofficial results.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — It appears as though there has been a changing of the guard in Cinnaminson. Challengers Ernest McGill and Ryan Horner defeated incumbent Mayor Anthony Minniti and his running mate June Neuman in Tuesday night’s Republican Primary for two open seats on Cinnaminson Township Committee, according to unofficial results provided by the township.

McGill was the top vote-getter, earning 1,080 votes. Horner was second with 1,052 votes. Minniti was third with 834 and Neuman was fourth with 815.

There was no Democratic Primary, but results are considered unofficial until they are certified by the county. If the results hold up, McGill and Horner will assume their new seats in January.

Minniti and William “Ben” Young were both up for re-election this year, but Young chose not to run. The seats are for three-year terms.

The McGill-Horner campaign posted the results on Facebook shortly after they were announced, with a thank you to township residents.

As a team, McGill and Horner won 15 of the 20 voting districts, including Districts 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18,19 and 20. Their largest margin of victory combined was in District 17, where they won by 79 votes.

Minniti and Neuman had the biggest win for either side on the night in District 13, where they won by 80 votes.
