Man Charged With DUI in Fatal Accident That Killed Burlington County Teen: Police
The accident took place early Sunday morning.

A Willingboro man has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving after hitting and killing a 17-year-old boy who was walking on Route 130 early Sunday morning, Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Burlington City Police Chief Alan Snow said.
Ricardo J. Patterson III, 42, remained at the scene following the accident, which took place in the area of Route 130 South and East Federal Street in Burlington City around 12:08 a.m.
Antwan L. Timbers Jr. was pronounced dead on the scene. He had been walking with a friend off the road when he was hit. He was a senior at Burlington City High School.

The Burlington City Police Department is working closely with the school district to activate crisis teams and have counselors on hand on Monday to assist grieving students.
At this point, Patterson has only been issued summonses, police said. The investigation is ongoing, and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office will determine whether criminal charges are warranted against Patterson.

Toxicology tests performed on blood taken from Patterson will be among the deciding factors in whether or not he is criminally charged, police said.
An autopsy will be performed by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood.
Responding law enforcement agencies included the City of Burlington Police Department, Traffic Unit and Criminal Investigation Division; the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office; and the New Jersey State Police.
